Crewe set Miller price

Crewe will not stand in the way of star striker Shaun Miller leaving but only if the price is right.

Club say there has been no interest in their star striker

Crewe manager Dario Gradi says he will not force star striker Shaun Miller to stay at the club but will only let him leave for the right price. The academy product is being linked with Huddersfield Town and Watford after scoring 19 goals last season and two in the new campaign. He is believed to be rated at £500,000 by the League Two club who also lost last season's top scorer Clayton Donaldson to Brentford in the summer. The Railwaymen are in financial trouble and are losing up to £500,000 a year.

Interest

Gradi told the Crewe Chronicle: "I wouldn't be able to stop it happening. We wouldn't stand in anyone's way. We never have - that's the way we are. "But at this moment in time there is no indication that anyone is interested in buying any of our players." Huddersfield may be searching for a striker if star man Jordan Rhodes completes a move to one of the Championship clubs that he is attracting the interest of. Watford have had a poor start to the season, scoring just two goals and accumulating one point.
