Goalkeeper not sure he wants to play in League One

Joe Murphy has admitted he will have to think about whether he wants to play for Scunthorpe in League One next season. Alan Knill's side are currently six points adrift of safety in the Championship with just two games of the season remaining, and their goal difference is so poor that relegation is almost certain. Murphy, 29, is out of contract in the summer but the Iron are currently in the process of putting together a package to try to persuade him to extend his stay at Glanford Park. "I have to ask myself whether I can be a League One goalkeeper, which is a big question," Murphy told the Scunthorpe Telegraph. "When you're out of contract you can speak to other clubs and there's been one or two things, but nothing will happen until maybe June time because of people having a break. "I spoke to (goalkeeping coach) Neil Cutler a week ago and he said the gaffer here is putting a package together, so I'll have to sit down with him to discuss that before the end of the season."
