Rangers midfielder John Fleck has urged manager Walter Smith to stay at the club in some capacity when he steps down from the hot seat at the end of the season.
The Scotland Under-21 international admitted that the Ibrox faithful would love to see Smith stay involved with the Govan giants.
Smith, 62, hinted that he could still play some role in the game by admitting at the weekend: "I still hope to do one or two things - maybe not as a manager, but I hope to be involved with something."
And 19-year-old Fleck who made his first start of the campaign in the 2-0 win over Aberdeen on Saturday admits he is 'not surprised' that the former Scotland boss wants to stay involved.
He said: "It doesn't really surprise me that he has said he wants to stay involved in the game.

"I don't know what he is going to do or what his feelings are but I'm sure everyone at Rangers will be hoping he stays around the club somewhere.
"Everyone would like to see him stay as manager but I'm sure he will be around the club.
"He's a great gaffer and a great guy and has played such a big part in my development.
"He will take you aside and speak to you, as will Ally McCoist, Ian Durrant and Kenny McDowall.
"If he needs to shout at you he will but he is calmer than he used to be.
"Who knows what he is going to do but hopefully he will still be about the club."
