Trio to exit Coventry

Iain Dowie has revealed that three players are set to leave Coventry in the summer.

Iain Dowie has revealed that three players are set to leave Coventry at the end of the season.

The new manager has confirmed that defender Andrew Whing, goalkeeper Arran Lee-Barrett and centre-back Che Bunce will not be offered new contracts when their present deals expire in May.

"This has been a tremendously difficult decision, but sometimes decisions like this have to be made in football," Dowie said.

"Andy Whing has been a fantastic servant to Coventry and I know a huge amount of people will remember him with great affection for scoring the final-ever goal at Highfield Road against Derby County.

"During my time with the club, he was shown what a committed professional he is and I am sure he will be an asset to another club.

"Although Arran and Che have only been with Coventry for a short time, I have been impressed with their attitude and professionalism and would like to wish them the very best of luck for the future."
