Norwich boss Neil Adams says he will enjoy every second of being top of the Sky Bet Championship table following his side's 3-1 win at struggling Blackpool.

The Tangerines took the lead shortly after half-time through Nathan Delfouneso, but a Donervorn Daniels own goal brought Norwich back to level terms, before quick-fire strikes later on from Lewis Grabban and Josh Murphy sealed the points.

And with promotion rivals Nottingham Forest held to a draw against Brighton, the Canaries moved to the top of the tree.

"There's a long way to go but it is of course very nice to be top of the table," said Adams. "I want to be top - it's nice to have a weekend where we can enjoy being top.

"There's lots of good teams in this division and it's a great sign that we've made a good start.

"It was exactly what we needed. We've had to come from behind in games this season. We had a solid first half and then stepped it up in the second half.

Norwich recovered from a goal down to claim a 3-1 win at Blackpool and move to the top of the Championship table.

"We didn't panic, we stuck to what we had to do. It wasn't a classic like Cardiff and Brentford, but it was workmanlike.

"We have tremendous spirit, hunger and quality. When you go behind and you're behind the barrel of the gun, you see those characteristics.

"We scored three goals from not that many chances. It's always good to know when we put our foot through the gears we can really play.

"Lewis Grabban is a quality forward and he didn't let any of his missed chances get to him - that's the sign of a top striker."

After an uninspiring first-half, just 60 seconds after the restart Blackpool took the lead through Delfouneso from close range, after Ishmael Miller's effort was blocked.

Their advantage was short-lived though, as Daniels headed Nathan Redmond's corner into his own net.

Norwich took the lead on 81 minutes through Grabban before substitute Murphy killed the game off.

Blackpool manager Jose Riga said: "I know people will remember the last part of the game more than the first but I remember the first hour, which was a really consistent display.

"We had control, we took the lead, but the spaces between the lines grew bigger and we suffered defensively.

"I think we could've got a draw - we were unlucky. When I saw the first half of the game, I'd forgotten that we had a defensive shortage because we were really in the game.

"I'm frustrated. Norwich are the team that have impressed me the most in the Championship and unfortunately we saw that quality in the second half.

"I didn't think we gave them a lot of chances to score and I was really happy with our performance for much of the game, but we lost our focus a bit after scoring the goal."
