Mark Bunn claims there is a determination within the Blackburn squad to turn their season around and ease some of the pressure on manager Steve Kean.
The 2011/12 campaign has been a forgettable one so far at Ewood Park, with disappointing results on the field accompanied by supporter unrest off it.
Rovers are, however, of the opinion that the season can still be salvaged, with five points separating them from Premier League safety.
Bunn is confident results will soon improve, with plenty of positives taken from a 1-1 draw at Liverpool on Boxing Day.
Things do not get any easier for Blackburn and Kean, as their next outing takes them to Manchester United, but there is a belief in the camp that they are about to turn the corner.
Bunn told the
Lancashire Telegraph: "There is definitely togetherness. We have been together all season and obviously we have not been getting the results we would like but we are behind Steve Kean.
Confidence
"He has given most of us our chance and we have to start repaying him and moving up the league. It is hard when you change your back line as often as we have, but the young lads have come in and done really well. We can only take that as a positive that the young lads are doing well.
"It was great to get the final result (at Anfield) and that can only give us confidence for the next game. The point can help for confidence for the rest of the season."
They may still be wallowing at the wrong end of the table, but Bunn claims Blackburn will head to Old Trafford on Saturday with pressure lifted from their shoulders.
He added: "Old Trafford is another massive game for us and another big game. We just have to dig deep again and hopefully get a result from it.
"It is going to be another massive game but if we defend like we did on Monday hopefully we can limit their chances and get something.
"Going to a place like Anfield, you don't get many results so you don't feel pressure in games like this. We are just delighted to get something from it."
