Celtic full-back to be given run-out in Saturday's friendly

Celtic's Emilio Izaguirre is set to make his comeback from injury against Partick Thistle on Saturday. The Honduras international did not travel on the Hoops' pre-season tour of Australia to concentrate on overcoming the hamstring injury that forced him out of his country's Gold Cup campaign in June. But the 25-year-old left-back, who has been linked with Manchester United, is expected to feature against former Celtic captain Jackie McNamara's side this weekend. None of the players who travelled to Australia will play at Firhill, though, as they do not arrive back in Scotland until less than 24 hours before kick-off. While Danny McGrain confirmed he would field a "very young team", some more experienced out-of-favour players will be involved. McGrain told the club's official website: "Jos Hooiveld, Josh Thompson and Morten Rasmussen will be included after being away on-loan last season. "Emilio Izaguirre will also get a half so we can see if he is over his injuries. Hopefully he comes through it with flying colours."
