Norwich midfielder Simon Whaley has joined League Two side Rochdale on loan for one month.
Whaley, who joined Norwich in the summer from Preston, has struggled to establish himself in the side since the arrival of Paul Lambert as manager.
Lambert is willing to loan out Whaley as he does not figure in his long-term plans.
"Simon needs games. He came to me and asked if he could go out on loan if he wasn't in our immediate plans and this move gives him the chance to do that," Lambert told the club's official website.
Whaley will go straight into the Dale squad to face Northampton on Saturday and will remain at Spotland until 18th October.
