Canaries look to bolster firepower as duo join up for trials

Norwich boss Bryan Gunn has revealed he has taken strikers Michael Bridges and Chris Craig on trial. Former Sunderland and Leeds forward Bridges, 30, is available on a free transfer after he was released by Hull, while 20-year-old Craig is also out of contract after leaving Rangers. The duo will spend time with the Canaries during the club's pre-season tour of Scotland and Gunn expects to make a decision on their futures in the coming days. "They both joined us last night and took part in this morning's training session," he told the club's official website. "Michael Bridges is a very experienced campaigner having played in the Premiership, Championship and League One. "He really enjoyed it this morning and it's an open-ended arrangement on both sides so we'll see how it goes over the days ahead. "It gives us a chance to have a look at him in training and if possible matches. "Chris Craig has had a good start to his career, earning his first pro contract with Rangers. "He's a diminutive striker but has high skill levels - something we've already seen one or two examples of this morning. "Again it's an open-ended arrangement. Hopefully we'll be in a position to make decisions on both of them by the end of the week."
