Canaries make Sharp impression

Billy Sharp has been "impressed" by Norwich, according to the striker's agent.

Norwich City target Billy Sharp has been left "impressed" after holding talks at Carrow Road, according to the striker's representative.

Sharp, currently under contract with Scunthorpe United, was the club's top scorer with 30 league goals as The Irons won the League One title last season.

The 21-year-old has since proved hot property with a number of possible Championship suitors reportedly pursuing his services.

But it is Norwich who have been given permission to speak to Sharp after matching Scunthorpe's £2million plus add-ons valuation.

Norwich do not want to waste the opportunity and have not disappointed according to Sharp's agent Imre Varadi.

"Billy was given the grand tour," Varadi told the Eastern Daily Press.

"I don't really want to say much more.

"Yes, he was impressed by the club and, yes, we had talks. At the moment that is where it's at."
