Canaries in keeper search

Norwich City manager Nigel Worthington is on the lookout for goalkeeping cover.

Norwich City manager Nigel Worthington is on the lookout for available goalkeepers after losing youngster Joe Lewis for the next three weeks.

Lewis fractured a cheekbone during a reserve team fixture last week, leaving Worthington short of cover in goal.

Paul Gallagher is the only recognised goalkeeper at Carrow Road currently available and Worthington has confirmed he will be looking to bring someone in as cover.

"Joe has unfortunately picked up a knock playing for the reserves against Orient and as a result will not be training for four weeks from when he got the injury," he told the club's official website.

"Obviously that leaves us short of goalkeeping options and that is something we are looking at with regards to possibly bringing someone in on loan."

Although the transfer window shut at the end of last month, clubs outside The Premiership will be able to sign players on loan from Friday.
