Danny Ings is to have a scan later this week to assess his hamstring injury after limping off in Burnley's game at Crystal Palace.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche said after Saturday's 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park: "He's just snapped his leg down to get the ball under control and I think his hamstring has gone tight.
"We don't know how that is but the good thing is because it's a sore one he gets off straight away, which always helps prevent further damage."
The England U21 striker scored 26 goals last season as Burnley's top marksman but the Clarets are still missing his 21-goal partner for most of the 2013/14 campaign, Sam Vokes, who is also on the long-term injury list.
