Striker promises there is more to come

Burnley striker Charlie Austin believes Clarets fans will see the best of him next season after he netted his first hat-trick for the club. Austin came off the bench to grab his treble to inspire Burnley to a 5-1 win over Portsmouth at Fratton Park. The 22-year-old is confident he will be a better player next season after enduring an indifferent run of form since returning from injury in December. "I don't see why you won't see the best of me next season, this is my first full year in the Championship and hopefully I can really push on next season," Austin told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph. "I've learned a lot, worked hard and done what I can. "I've got 14 (goals) now, and if I can get any more it's a bonus. "But I'll take my performances so far this season, some have been below par, but you're not going to perform every game."

Frustrating

The former Swindon hit-man admits it has been frustrating after starting just one of the last five games Austin added: "It has been a frustrating time for me, but what can I do? "There are some fantastic players at the club, so when I got the chance I came on and worked hard."
