Burnley land duo

Burnley have signed two players and are in talks with a third target.

Burnley have completed the signing of Bournemouth's John Spicer, and will include the player in their squad to face Derby County this weekend.

A busy day at Turf Moor has seen Burnley bring in both Spicer, and young defender Keith Lowe - who arrives on a month's loan from Wolves.

Indeed - there could well be a third new face at Turf Moor later in the day - with talks continuing over another target, as manager Steve Cotterill looks to bring in cover for a depleted squad.

Former Arsenal midfielder Spicer has completed a £35,000 move, and will team up once more with Wade Elliot and Garreth O'Connor who both moved to Burnley from The Cherries in the summer.

Burnley have had a somewhat mixed start to the season, convincingly beating Coventry and progressing in the Carling Cup, but losing out to Crewe, Sheffield United and Watford in the league.
