Rodgers keen to have enough firepower for promotion run-in

Skysports.com understands Swansea City are hoping to sign Ipswich Town striker Tamas Priskin before the loan deadline. Priskin has scored just four goals in 32 Championship appearances this season, but impressed under Swans boss Brendan Rodgers at Watford. Rodgers tried to sign the Hungarian last summer and is now keen to push through a deal before Thursday's 5pm cut-off point. With Swansea pressing for promotion to the Premier League, Rodgers is looking to ensure he has enough striking ammunition at his disposal. He signed Fabio Borini on loan last week and saw the Chelsea striker mark his debut with a decisive brace in a 3-2 home win over promotion rivals Nottingham Forest. Earlier in the week, Rodgers' Ipswich counterpart Paul Jewell admitted players could leave Portman Road before the deadline and Priskin could now secure a move to Swansea.
