Jonathan Williams admits he will be sad to say goodbye to his fellow Crystal Palace Academy graduate, Wilfried Zaha.
Midfielder Williams, 19, joined Palace at the age of eight and came through the Selhurst Park club's ranks alongside Zaha.
But with Zaha heading to Manchester United this summer after being signed in a £15million deal in January, the pair will now be going their separate ways.
Williams and Zaha started Monday's Championship play-off final victory over Watford but they will be on opposing teams when Palace meet United next season.
"Wilf has been incredible this year," Williams told Sky Sports. "It is sad to see him go, because I played with him when we were younger.
"But he has deserved everything he has got, so I wish him all the best. I have never seen a player like him, to be honest."
Williams added: "It was a very special moment to be promoted with another Academy graduate on that day.
"I said to him (Zaha), 'this is what it is for'. We just could not believe what had happened."
