Delaney - Keane row rubbish

Damien Delaney says it is 'total rubbish' that he was involved in a bust-up with manager Roy Keane.

Ipswich defender focused on winning back his place

Damien Delaney has insisted it is 'total rubbish' that he was involved in a training ground bust-up with Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane. The defender has not featured in Town's last two matches after he served a suspension for being sent off in last month's defeat at fierce rivals Norwich City. Reports claimed the Irishman had a row with Keane, but Delaney has dismissed the rumours and is focusing on winning back his place. He told the club's official website: "I don't know where the story has come from, but it's total rubbish. "It's completely untrue. The only fight I'm having at the moment is to get back in the team. "I need to show the manager that I should be starting games for this football club and the only way I'm going to do that is to keep my head down and work hard on the training pitch and wait for my chance."
