Kember to put Black in the red

CRYSTAL PALACE manager Steve Kember has revealed he will fine midfielder Tommy Black for his actions that got him sent off in Saturday's friendly against Italian side Brescia.

The Eagles boss admitted to having little sympathy with the 23-year-old, who was given his marching orders following an altercation with Brescia's Antonio Filippini in the second half of the 4-3 defeat.

Kember believes Black was foolish to get himself sent off in the friendly match, with the red card being his second in as many matches following his dismissal in the 1-1 draw at Millwall the week before.

"Tommy had one of his argumentative, silly heads on him," Kember told the club's official website.

"Even when he gave the penalty away, he was ranting and raving at the referee.

"It's pointless because once they've made their decision they're not going to change it.

"Tommy told me that the boy spat at him during the game but I think he's been sent off too much in the last few years and needs to learn to keep his head.

"I'll be fining him accordingly."
