Seagulls agree deal to bring in striker from Plymouth
Brighton have struck a deal with Plymouth to bring in striker Ashley Barnes for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with the Seagulls and the move will be completed subject to a medical.
Barnes made a huge impact at the Withdean last season after joining the club on loan in March, scoring four goals in eight appearances.
"I have got a lot of strikers at the club and I want to trim the squad," Plymouth boss Peter Reid told the club's official website.
"Brighton were keen to have Ashley back and Ashley enjoyed a successful spell there last season so this move makes a lot of sense for everyone involved.
"We wish Ashley all the best for the next stage of his career."
