Cardiff City are sweating over the fitness of winger Craig Noone after he suffered a new groin injury.

The 26-year-old missed the back end of last season with a groin problem and it is feared he has now suffered a recurrence of the injury.

Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is waiting to find out the full extent of the injury, with Noone now facing a race against time to be fit for the big Championship kick-off against Blackburn on August 8th.

"Craig's groin needs work on it because he had the same trouble from March last season," said Solskajer.

"He worked to get back fit over the summer, but now it is back so we'll have to look into it.

"Craig hasn't trained this week and is having another test in the next few days to see how he is."
