Manager Malky Mackay is expecting a testing encounter when Cardiff meet Leicester in the Carling Cup, regardless of the team Foxes counterpart Sven-Goran Eriksson fields.
The Bluebirds host their affluent Championship rivals in the third round of the competition on Wednesday evening.
Eriksson is set to rotate his squad for the tie but Mackay knows the big-spending Foxes have strength in depth.
"Leicester will be very tough opponents," said Mackay.
"The power of their squad has been well documented. They have enough to put two good teams out against us over the next week.
"But we are fully prepared as always and fully focused on Wednesday night because the Carling Cup is a big competition.
"It is important for us to keep our good form going, even if there is rotation in the squad."
