Oldham boss John Sheridan is closing in on midfield duo Craig Rocastle and Paul McLaren according to widespread reports.It has been suggested that both players have agreed moves to Boundary Park in principle although Sheridan is loath to disclose the names of his targets.
The rookie chief is in the market for midfield reinforcements and having added Gary McDonald to his ranks already, more signings are expected soon.
Rocastle is a 25-year-old midfielder who began his career at Chelsea but moved to Sheffield Wednesday in a quest for regular first team football.
