Chelsea and Spurs put offers to Spain international

Roma striker Bojan Krkic claims he considered offers from Chelsea and Tottenham before heading to Italy over the summer. Having taken the decision to leave Barcelona, with competition for places as fierce at Camp Nou as it is at any side in world football, the Spain international sat back and waited for bids to roll in. With his time in Catalunya helping to raise his profile and allow him to showcase his undoubted ability, he was not short on options. Clubs from across Europe scrapped frantically for his signature, with it rare that a player of such potential becomes available. In the end, a switch to Serie A took Bojan's fancy and he committed his immediate future to Roma.

Project

The 21-year-old is convinced he took the right decision, but admits he could have been turning out in the Premier League had events turned out differently. "Roma were not the only club interested in me," Bojan told La Repubblica. "Chelsea, Tottenham and PSG made me offers that were worth more to me on a financial level, but I wanted to join Roma. "I believe in the project here, even if it has been difficult at times. "I am sure I made the right choice in choosing Roma."
