Eustace waits on Stoke offer

John Eustace is 'getting anxious' about his wait for a new contract from Stoke City.

John Eustace is 'getting anxious' about his wait for a new contract from Stoke City.

The midfielder's contract expires at the end of the month and he has yet to be offered fresh terms at the Britannia Stadium.

Stoke are waiting for players to be offered deals by other clubs before revealing their own intentions towards the likes of Eustace.

But while the 27-year-old admits he wants to stay with the Championship club, he is becoming impatient about the lack of talks.

"I spoke to Stoke a few weeks ago about a possible contract, but there's been nothing since," Eustace told the Sentinel.

"I'm still waiting for them to put something on the table.

"I am getting a bit anxious and frustrated because time is getting on and other clubs have spoken to my agent.

"But, at the end of the day, it's up to Stoke how long they wait.

"All I can do is say I'm keen to stay so I can show what I can do now I am getting back to full fitness again."
