Stoke defender Carl Dickinson and striker Keith Thomas will join Icelandic club Vikingur this summer in order to boost their preparations for The Potters' pre-season.
The young pair will move to Vikingur for just two months with Stoke manager Johan Boskamp sure the initiative will prove beneficial all-round.
Both players have missed much of the Championship side's campaign with broken legs and Boskamp is keen for the duo to get more playing time ahead of the return to training at the end of June.
"Both players lost six months of this season with broken legs and they need more time to play rather than have two months' rest," said Boskamp.
"So hopefully they can go to Iceland, earn some good experience and come back stronger for pre-season."
