Millwall boss still monitoring Southampton man

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has admitted that Southampton's Jason Puncheon could be a transfer target for the club ahead of the January transfer window. Puncheon had a loan spell at The Den last year in which he finished off his stay with a hat-trick on New Year's Day. The ex-Plymouth player impressed Jackett whilst he was with the Lions and the Millwall boss is ready to make a second bid for the attacking midfielder. "Are we watching the situation with Jason Puncheon? I would be lying to you if I said we weren't, but we haven't had any contact on that one," Jackett told the News Shopper. "Would the door be open? Yes. He is someone we have monitored since he left the club." Jackett has dismissed reports of a move for Cork City striker Graham Cummins, adding: "We made some enquiries last summer about him but since then we haven't. I would say that is probably the end of it."
