Wolves winger feels he still has a point to prove at the club

Stephen Hunt insists there is more to come from him in a Wolves shirt and intends to show it this season by earning a decent run in the first team. The 30-year-old has struggled with a number of niggling injuries since moving from Hull in 2010 and feels he has not really made the impact he wanted at Molineux. Now the Republic of Ireland international is hoping an extended stay away from the treatment room will allow him to give new boss Stale Solbakken a look at what he can do. With just one year left on his deal at the club Hunt has more reason than most to shine this season, but the winger is adamant it is pride rather than the prospect of being out of work that will drive him on to take the Championship by storm this season. "I've got a few things to bite my teeth into in terms of wanting to show what I can do on a consistent and long-term basis without picking up any injuries," Hunt told the club's official website. "I know if I have that I know what Wolves will get. I'm here to show the manager what I'm capable of doing and myself more so. "It doesn't make any difference to me if I'm into the last year of my contract. I'll always play the same way - even if I was out of contract, I'd continue to play the same way. That's the way I am."
