Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards insists immediate promotion back to the Premier League should be a priority under new manager Stale Solbakken.
Owner Steve Morgan said last week that Solbakken does not have to get Wolves back in to the top flight at the first attempt following this season's relegation.
But Wales international Edwards reckons a good start to the new campaign should give the team an excellent chance of making a quick return to the elite.
"Our aim has got to be promotion because this is a huge club with great fans and everything is in place for us to bounce straight back," said Edwards.
"We need a good start to next season and then hopefully that momentum can carry us through.
"It's really important to get off to a good start - teams who have gone down in the past have had a bit of a hangover at the start of the season.
"We've really got to get out of the blocks quickly."
