Rangers grab Ricketts

QPR have beaten the transfer deadline to sign Wolves midfielder Rohan Ricketts.

Queens Park Rangers have beaten the transfer deadline to sign Wolves midfielder Rohan Ricketts.

Ricketts has moved to Loftus Road on loan until the end of the season after dropping out of favour at Molineux.

The former Tottenham man has not figured for Wolves since January and Mick McCarthy is willing to loan him out so that he can get some valuable action under his belt.

Ricketts is hoping to help QPR avoid relegation from the Championship.

"I'm not figuring at Wolves at the moment and I'll go to Queens Park Rangers with the aim of helping them keep their Championship status," Ricketts told the Wolves official website.

"But I'll be keeping a close eye on how things are going at Molineux as the season draws to a close."
