Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal with Wolves for Sammy Clingan.

Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal with Wolves for Sammy Clingan.

The Northern Irish midfielder is currently on loan at Chesterfield, but he now looks set to tie up a switch to The City Ground.

The 21-year-old has yet to make a first team appearance for Wolves, but he has played over 30 league games for Chesterfield in two loan spells.

Clingan will be Forest's second capture this week after they earlier sealed the signing of Julian Bennett from Walsall.
