West Brom boss Alan Irvine believes David Moyes will relish the opportunity to return to management with Real Sociedad.
Moyes was sacked as Manchester United boss after less than a year in charge at Old Trafford after succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson on July 1, 2013.
Irvine was assistant to Moyes at Everton and he believes his fellow Scot will make the most of the chance to rebuild his reputation in La Liga, with Moyes’ first game in charge coming in the Sky Live clash with Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.
“I think he will love it and will really be relishing this opportunity,” Irvine told Sky Sports News HQ.
“He said to me a number of years ago that he would like the challenge of managing abroad at some point during his career.
“It’s probably come a bit earlier than he was hoping for, especially having got the Manchester United job, but I think he will do really well.
“He is a top manager and he will very quickly work out what is needed in Spain.”
