West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has ruled out a move for Hibernian's Rob Jones and refused to comment on reports linking Rangers midfielder Barry Ferguson with a move to the Hawthorns.
Mowbray signed Jones from Grimsby while he was in charge at Easter Road but has no plans to link up again with the centre-back.
Ferguson is currently out of the first-team picture at Ibrox having been disciplined by the club for the incidents which saw him told he would never feature for Scotland again.
The midfielder and Gers team-mate Allan McGregor indulged in a late-night drinking session after the World Cup qualifying defeat by Holland before sitting on the bench making V-signs during the game against Iceland.

Mowbray refused to comment on reports linking him with a move for the former Scotland captain and said: "It is best I don't even mention his name."
But he has ruled out a move for Hibs player Jones, admitting: "I'm pretty clear in my mind. I would suggest Rob Jones won't be coming here.
"I signed him for Hibernian. Is he right for our club at the moment? No. I think this is a case of agents trying to highlight the profile of a footballer."
And Mowbray is happy to see his squad cut from 31 to 20 players for next term in the Championship, providing they are of a sufficient standard.
Nucleus
Mowbray said: "I would suggest working with 20 players is feasible. I've always said 20 players is fine as long as I like them all and they are my players.
"The emphasis can only be on quality. We have got some quality players. We haven't got 20 at the moment but we have to strive to reach that figure.
"If you get 20 really good footballers that you like, there should be no problem. I think the nucleus of this squad can play in the Premier League.
"We should look to add another three or four players if they are the right ones, people who can play in a couple of positions."
