Carlisle United manager Greg Abbott has confirmed he is still interested in signing non-league midfielder Andy Bond.
The 24-year-old is available on a free transfer from Barrow and is on the radar of several Football League clubs.
Championship duo Leicester City and Preston North End have been linked with the former Crewe Alexandra youngster and Carlisle have also shown an interest.
Abbott has held talks about bringing Bond to Brunton Park over the summer and is not giving up on a deal in the face of stiff competition for his signature.
"We have discussed Andy and he is still on radar," Abbott told the News & Star.
"Our interest in him isn't dead, it is still ongoing. He is among a number of live targets."
