Preston goalkeeper Jonathan Gould looks set to move to Dundee United on loan.

The veteran former Scotland international is desperate for first team football and could now be granted his wish courtesy of a move north.

Preston boss Billy Davies has confirmed that Gould is attracting attention and that a move back to Scotland is on the cards.

''There have been one or two clubs from England and Scotland who have made enquiries about Jonathan Gould and they are ongoing at the moment.

''We will have to wait and see what happens there, but I can confirm that Dundee United have made an enquiry about taking him on loan.''

Whilst Gould appears to be on his way out of Deepdale, 21-year-old midfielder Alan McCormack has penned a new two-and-a-half year deal with the club.

Meanwhile, Dundee United have confirmed that Aaron Conway has left the club by mutual consent.
