Rams boss happy to stick with squad

Derby boss Nigel Clough has no plans to enter the loan market to bolster his squad despite their lengthy injury list. Mark O'Brien, Theo Robinson and Chris Maguire were forced off during the home win against Portsmouth on Saturday, joining a growing list of players currently sidelined that includes Shaun Barker, John Brayford, Steven Davies, Nathan Tyson, James Bailey, Paul Green and Chris Riggott. Maguire is expected to play when Cardiff visit Pride Park on Wednesday night despite breaking his nose at the weekend, while O'Brien is set to receive pain-killing injections in a sprained shoulder joint in the hope of getting him through the two matches before the two-week international break. Clough believes he has enough quality in his squad to provide cover for any of his injured stars. "We are trying to find the solutions from within the squad," said Clough. "We will know halfway through the international break how we are fixed and the loan deadline is towards the end of November. "We will assess it after Saturday when the break starts but we want to try and use the squad and keep everybody together."
