Midfielder enjoying chance to play first-team football

Experienced midfielder Lee Hendrie is hoping he can secure a contract to stay at Brighton & Hove Albion next season. Hendrie joined the Seagulls on loan from Derby County last month and has made five appearances for the League One club. He is enjoying playing for Gus Poyet's side on the South Coast and is keen to be part of Brighton's plans in the 2010/11 campaign. "It would be great to be here next season because I've got on great with all the lads and I feel settled now," Hendrie told the club's official website. "I have certainly enjoyed my time down here, and I'd like to stay because I know the club is going places. "Hopefully I will be here next season, and I can come back fresh, fit and ready to go. "That's what I have got to look at, but I wish we had six or seven more games still to go because it's been good to get some minutes under my belt, and I'm feeling sharper."
