Derby County have given a trial to Cyprus international Yannis Okkas.The striker has linked up with the Premier League newcomers after leaving Olympiakos at the end of last season.
Okkas has already trained with West Ham United during pre-season and has now pitched up at Derby.
He has been selected to start The Rams' pre-season friendly against Macclesfield Town on Monday night as he looks to impress Billy Davies.
Reports claimed that, if he had shone at West Ham, a two-year contract was in the offing, but it is uncertain what plans Davies has for Okkas.
Also starting the game against Macclesfield is Dusan Svento, with the Slovakia international confirming last week that he would be joining Derby for a trial spell.
Davies is also looking at Salomon Olembe and Giorgios Theodoridis, who featured in the 3-0 win at Burton Albion on Monday evening.
