Rams impress at Plymouth

Derby were impressive as they picked up a 2-0 win against Plymouth on their travels.

An own goal from Graham Coughlan and Paul Peschisolido's second half strike proved enough to sink the hosts.

Plymouth had gifted their visitors the lead in the ninth minute when Coughlan put through his own net.

Plymouth battled to get back in the game but found the Derby defence equal to their efforts.

Mickey Evans should have done better with a close range header, whilst Steve Evans shot wide from the edge of the area.

Grzegorz Rasiak drew a good save from goalkeeper Romain Larrieu early in the second half, and Evans had another headed effort drift wide before Derby added a second.

Peschisolido raced through, rounded Larrieu and slotted home.

Lee Camp underlined his burgeoning reputation with a fine save to deny Tony Capaldi, with David Friio heading the subsequent corner over the bar when well placed.
