Sunderland will face Benfica in pre-season friendly in Portimao on July 30

Sunderland will face Portuguese sides Benfica and Vitoria Setubal as part of their pre-season campaign.

Gus Poyet's men will line up against Primeira Liga champions Benfica in a special Guadiana Tourneo one-off game at the Estadio Municipal de Portimao on July 30.

The Black Cats then meet Vitoria at the Estadio Municipal de Albufeira on August 2.

Sunderland are in the Algarve for a warm weather training camp between July 28 and August 3, and will play their first game out there on July 29 against an as yet unnamed opponent.
