Sunderland boss Roy Keane is sweating on the fitness of Kenwyne Jones after he missed Saturday's defeat to Portsmouth through injury.
Jones, who only recently returned from a serious knee injury he picked up on international duty, suffered a knock in training on Friday.
Keane decided not to risk Jones against Pompey and he is waiting to find out the full extent of the problem.
"He literally slipped in the last three minutes of training and we decided we were not going to take any risks," Keane told the club's official website.
"How serious we will know in the next 24 hours and that was obviously a big loss to us.
