Paris Saint Germain's Fabrice Pancrate has revealed that he almost joined Hull before the transfer window closed.
The 28-year-old striker was in talks with the Tigers but it PSG then made it clear they wanted him to stay.
After talks with PSG coach Paul Le Guen, Pancrate opted to reject Hull.
"I had a chat with Paul Le Guen as soon as I returned to training," Pancrate told
Le Parisien.
"I understood at this moment they didn't rely on me. Anyway, I decided to prepare the best I could and I gave my best.

"And while I was speaking with an English club - Hull City - I was finally told that PSG wanted me to stay.
"They changed their mind and I'm delighted that my work was recognised."
Another player staying at the Parc de Princes is Armenian international goalkeeper Apoula Edima Bete Edel.
The 22-year-old, Cameroon-born star, has penned a three-year deal and will continue to provide competition for No.1 Mickael Landreau.
Meanwhile, defensive starlet Mamadou Sakho has undergone two operations on his troublesome groin injury.
Sakho is expected to be out for around two months.
