Wolves loan Black Cat

Wolves have signed Sunderland centre back Neill Collins on loan until the New Year.

Wolves have signed Sunderland centre back Neill Collins on loan until the New Year.

The former Queen's Park and Dumbarton defender initially joined The Black Cats under Wolves boss Mick McCarthy in the summer of 2004, and Collins will remain at Molineux until January 2.

It will be the 23-year-old's third loan spell away from The Stadium of Light, having spent time at Hartlepool United and Sheffield United.

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey was pleased to snap up the Scotland Under-21 international for the next two months.

"Mick felt he wanted to strengthen that area of the team, what with the current injuries to Mark Clyde and Jody Craddock, and we are happy to have been able to make that happen," Moxey told the club's official website.
