Wolves boss Kenny Jackett believes Birmingham have chosen well with the appointment of new manager Gary Rowett and cannot wait to lock horns with him in Saturday's derby clash at Molineux.
Rowett has replaced Lee Clark at the helm after establishing himself as a bright young coach with League Two Burton and faces a baptism of fire against Wanderers.
Blues were crushed 8-0 by Bournemouth over the weekend when without a leader, but Jackett is expecting an immediate improvement now that has been put right.
"Gary has done very well at Burton over a number of seasons and quite rightly gets the chance now at Championship level," Jackett told Wolves' official website.
"I'm sure their club will respond positively to a new manager after that defeat and we have to really concentrate on this game.
"I have met Gary once or twice while out and about in Midlands football. He is an ex-Birmingham player and I'm sure he will lift and re-focus the whole club."
