No Blues future for Bent

Marcus Bent has been told by Birmingham manager Alex McLeish that he does not have a future at St Andrews.

Striker told he can look for a new club in January

Marcus Bent has been told by Birmingham manager Alex McLeish that he does not have a future at St Andrews. The striker has been on loan at Premier League and Midlands rivals Wolves since the summer after falling out of favour with the Blues. And with McLeish being repeatedly linked with a January move for Tottenham's Robbie Keane it appears that Bent's chances of returning to Birmingham are slim. McLeish has confirmed that fact and the £1million signing from Charlton in 2008 has been informed that he is allowed to look for a new employer "Marcus Bent knows he does not have a future here and he will be trying to get a new club in January," said Birmingham's manager in the Daily Mirror.
