Jonathan Spector has pledged to ignore the speculation about his West Ham future to focus on preserving the club's Premier League status.
The 24-year-old has started the last two games for the Hammers after being out of the team since August.
Since his return, Spector has been deployed in an unfamiliar centre midfield role, which has not stopped him from getting amongst the goals.
The United States international is in the final year of his contract and has been linked with an enticing switch to Bundesliga side Cologne.
Yet, he is refusing to contemplate such a deal while the Hammers are bottom of the Premier League table.
Interest
"No I'm not aware of interest and no one at the club has said anything to me about it," he told
skysports.com.
"But until I'm told differently, I will keep on playing and doing my best for the club.
"I've enjoyed my time here and West Ham is a fantastic club. I've had five great years here. I'm not thinking about staying or leaving, my focus is on keeping them in the Premier League.
"If I can get a run in the team I will do my best, but if not I will continue to work hard in training. I had a chat with the manager and it was amicable, but he knows what I can do now."
West Ham are still bottom after their latest defeat at Sunderland but, with striking options that include Carlton Cole, Victor Obinna and Frederic Piquionne, former Manchester United trainee Spector is confident this will change soon.
Strikers
"It's not just down to the strikers to score, we all have to take some responsibility when it comes to that," he added.
"But when you look at the strikers we have, then it gives you confidence that we can get out of this.
"They are all different; Carlton's hold-up play is so good. You know that you can play the ball up to him and he will hold it up, even if he has three defenders around him.
"He's also starting to score goals as well. Victor is starting to find his form too and beginning to adapt to the Premier League, while Freddy started the season well for us.
"So I'm confident we have the quality to get up the table."
