Striker heads back to Us after successful season on loan

Torquay striker Matt Green has completed a summer switch to League Two new boys Oxford United. The Bath-born striker spent all of last season on loan with Oxford and found the net 14 times. His strikes included the opener in their 3-1 Blue Square Premier play-off final triumph over York at Wembley last month. The former Newport County and Cardiff forward, 23, will be best remembered at Torquay for his winning FA Cup goal against Blackpool in January 2009 when Paul Buckle's side overcame the Seasiders 1-0 at Plainmoor. Green made a total of 29 league appearances for Torquay.
