Birmingham winger Nick Wright has joined Northampton on a month-long loan.The 19-year-old, who is equally adept on either flank, has just returned from a short loan spell with Bristol City.
"We saw him play for Bristol City during his month there and he impressed us," said Cobblers boss John Gorman.
"He is a player who has plenty of pace and gives us a different option."
Gorman is also hoping to snap up Damien Scannell from Fisher Athletic, despite the non-league club's insistence that he would not be going anywhere until January.
"We had talks and he's a smashing lad who wanted to join us but now they've stated he's staying until January," Gorman explained.
"But hopefully we can get him in for training at some point, and as it's non-league if they decide to release the player we can still bring him in."
