Forest close on Agogo

Nottm Forest expect to seal the signing of Bristol Rovers striker Junior Agogo this week.

Nottingham Forest expect to conclude the signing of Bristol Rovers striker Junior Agogo this week.

The League One club have been trying to negotiate a deal for the Ghana international for several weeks and have already had one offer rejected.

The Pirates are reluctant to lose Agogo, but Forest boss Colin Calderwood is now hoping a transfer is close to completion.

"Lots of things still have to be decided," said Calderwood. "The deal has not been agreed.

"It is mostly an administration thing and we are hopeful of settling it next week."

Reports have suggested that Rovers want Neil Harris, who has also been linked with Millwall, and Spencer Weir-Daley in exchange.

Meanwhile, Forest have also been linked with a loan move for Birmingham City midfielder Stephen Clemence.
