Norwich manager Neil Adams has confirmed midfielder Elliott Bennett is poised for a loan move to Sky Bet Championship rivals Brighton.

The 25-year-old, who joined from the Seagulls in the summer of 2011, has made just one league start this season, featuring seven times in all competitions.

Adams said after his side's 2-1 home win over Bolton on Friday night: "I think it would be good for all parties. He needs to be playing, he's not in the 18 at the moment.

"It's to get him an opportunity to play. Elliott's fine, he deserves a chance to play first-team football and obviously it's at his former club, so it will suit him well."
