Nigel Adkins hopes Reading's crippling injury list will have eased after the international break.
The Royals had 11 players unavailable for Saturday's 1-0 win at Middlesbrough but boss Adkins could welcome three of them back when they meet Fulham on September 13.
Midfielder Danny Guthrie and striker Pavel Pogrebnyak are close to recovering from calf injuries while summer signing Anton Ferdinand has been building up his fitness for the past month and could be in contention.
"The break has come at the right time," admitted Adkins.
"We had 11 injured on Saturday, and two more in (Michael) Hector and (Jordan) Obita who only passed fitness tests on Saturday morning - I couldn't name the team until then.
"There's been a lot of travelling to Nottingham Forest, Scunthorpe and Middlesbrough, but we had two 1-0 wins with the squad being utilised and we're together as one.
"We've got an opportunity to get some players back and fit - because the games go Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday as soon as we're back after the international break, it's seven games in 22 days.
"There's a proper feelgood factor about the club, down at the training ground, despite the injuries we've had, there's enthusiasm with youngsters having played, new players have come in, everyone is integrating well together."
Adkins could also hand a debut to Glenn Murray against Fulham after signing the striker on loan from Crystal Palace.
